IMSA Launches Offshore Emergency Support Service

New Offshore Emergency Support Service brings an experienced team to help vessels during emergency situations

Miami, Florida— Vessel crews face a variety of urgent and emergency situations while they are underway, most of the time with little or no experienced shore side support.  International Maritime Security Associates, INC (IMSA) is now providing vessels around the world offshore emergency support as part of their Global Intelligence, Information and Communications Center (G-I2C).  The operations center is staffed 24/7 to provide vessels with one number to call for assistance during a variety of emergency situations.

“During emergency situations vessel crews need to concentrate on the emergency and not worry about the myriad of calls and notifications that need to be made.” Comments Corey Ranslem, Chief Executive Officer of IMSA.  “Our G-I2C will handle the communications, notifications, and logistics for the vessel based on their specific protocols and the immediate emergency.”

The Offshore Emergency Support service is part of the ARMS (Automated Risk Management Solution) software platform that will be launched worldwide later this year.

IMSA will provide assistance to vessels based on their specific response protocols for a number of situations including; Security Issues, Medical Emergencies, Fire, Flooding, Groundings, Collision, and Catastrophic Mechanical Failures along with other vessel specific situations.

“We have a team of experienced maritime professionals that understand what vessel crews are facing during emergencies and what type of service would help improve the outcome.” says Ranslem.  “Our primary focus is to provide an immediate shore side liaison for the vessels so they can concentrate on their emergency situation.”
